MasalaRoute — Spice pouch packaging design

MasalaRoute — Spice pouch packaging design

Project details

MasalaRoute asked for premium spice product packaging design that feels rooted in Indian kitchen tradition yet clean enough for metro retail. We built a pouch family with bold variant colours, heritage illustration accents, and a disciplined typographic hierarchy.

Packaging work like this is part of our dedicated FMCG product packaging design offering for food and grocery brands.

Project brief

  • 8–12 masala variants in stand-up and flat pouches
  • Instant recognition between chilli, turmeric, garam masala, and blended lines
  • Premium black base with high-contrast flavour cues

Design approach

  • Illustration layer: Cultural motifs supporting—not overpowering—the SKU name
  • Colour system: One hero hue per variant with shared layout grid
  • Compliance: Weight, batch, and ingredient blocks aligned to printer templates

Deliverables

  • Front and back pouch artwork per variant
  • Dieline-ready PDFs with bleed and safe zones
  • Shelf mockups for modern trade presentations
